The objective is to establish the possibilities for tourism development through the inventory of natural and cultural resources, and to evaluate the existing basic and tourism infrastructure. The methodology includes interviews with the villagers and analysis of the infrastructure. The results indicate that the community has a high tourism potential due to its rich biodiversity and cultural resources, although it lacks adequate infrastructure. The conclusions highlight the need to improve infrastructure and promote experiential tourism as a sustainable strategy for the economic and social development of the region. This approach would not only benefit local producers, but would also offer tourists an authentic and immersive experience of rural and cultural life in the Peruvian Amazon.
2024-07-25T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Carlos Joel Holguin-Begazo, Carlo Teófilo Aguilar-Pérez https://revistas.unamad.edu.pe/index.php/ravgs/article/view/303 Influence of the use of a hotel system in the management of Jose Antonio's Inn – Tambopata - Madre de Dios, 2020 2024-10-24T00:14:06-05:00 Jorge Líder Grifa-Calderon localhost@gmail.com Carlo Teofilo Aguilar-Perez caguilar@unamad.edu.pe
The research analyzes the impact of a hotel management system at José Antonio's Inn in Tambopata, Madre de Dios, during 2020. The objective was to determine the relationship between the management of the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism (DIRCETUR) and the development of tourism activity in Puerto Maldonado in 2017. The sample included 60 tourism operators, selected by probability sampling. A descriptive non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational non-experimental research design was used. Five-point Likert scale questionnaires were applied, validated by experts. Reliability was tested with Cronbach's alpha: 0.806 for DIRCETUR management and 0.876 for tourism development. The DIRCETUR management was perceived negatively by 50.0% of the operators, while 58.3% considered tourism development to be positive. There is a significant positive correlation (r = 0.678) between both variables, with a bilateral significance of 0.000, within the acceptable threshold (p < 0.05).
2024-07-25T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Mónica Pilar Tello-Aro , Barrientos, Rolando https://revistas.unamad.edu.pe/index.php/ravgs/article/view/306 Optimization of operational, administrative, and managerial processes of a lodge for its business sustainability 2024-10-24T00:17:02-05:00 Ruth Katiusca Szabo-Cruz szabokatiusca@gmail.com María Merly Vargas-Coral localhost@gmail.com Carlo Teófilo Aguilar-Perez caguilar@unamad.edu.pe
This study focused on optimizing the operational, administrative and managerial processes of the Explorer's Inn, located on the banks of the Tambopata River, Madre de Dios, Peru, as a strategy to ensure its business sustainability. Despite being a pioneer in tourism in Tambopata, the lodge temporarily suspended its activities after 38 years of continuous operation due to internal management problems. Between August 2017 and June 2018, a situational diagnosis was conducted using direct observation, surveys and verification sheets, applying the tools of the Tourism Training Center (CENFOTUR). The interventions included three stages: situational diagnosis, development of protocols and operational manuals, and implementation in each area. Manuals were developed for housekeeping, kitchen, dining room and bar, along with an organizational chart and a functions manual. The personnel were trained to apply the new protocols, which enabled the correct implementation of the processes. With the adoption of these instruments, Explorer's Inn resumed its activities and improved its internal efficiency and competitiveness.
2024-07-25T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Ruth Katiusca Szabo-Cruz , María Merly Vargas-Coral , Carlo Teófilo Aguilar-Perez https://revistas.unamad.edu.pe/index.php/ravgs/article/view/304 Continuous training as a strategy to improve the organizational performance of the hotel "Cabaña Quinta", Puerto Maldonado - Tambopata - 2023 2024-10-24T00:14:57-05:00 Patrick Martín Huisacayna-Sánchez localhost@gmail.com Carlo Teófilo Aguilar-Perez caguilar@unamad.edu.pe
This research addresses the importance of continuous training in the hotel sector. Successful companies are customer-oriented and manage their processes in alignment with a clear mission, vision, and objectives, allowing them not only to survive but also to consolidate and grow. However, many organizations still lack adequate administrative management models, negatively affecting their operational efficiency and generating internal issues. This study focuses on analyzing the administrative management of the ecotourism company Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica, using instruments such as data collection, surveys, interviews, and documentary review with collaborators. The research examined how the organizational structure influences the company’s administrative efficiency. Given Inkaterra’s prestige and recognition for service quality, the results revealed that its organizational structure positively impacts administrative management, fostering sustained growth and development.
2024-07-25T00:00:00-05:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Jesica Clemencia Choque-Cutip , Estefanía Elizabeth Wayna-Luna, Carlo Teófilo Aguilar-Perez
