Abstract

In the city of Puerto Maldonado, province of Tambopata, department of Madre de Dios; In order to determine the amount of Enrofloxacin residues in chicken meat shipped in the main markets of the city. ELISA technique was used on samples of chicken breast meat from the markets: José Aldamiz, Tres de Mayo and Mercado Modelo, a total of 45 samples were evaluated. Finding residues of Enrofloxacin in all analysed samples with the following awerages: 0.89 µg/kg ± 0.0067; 0.91 µg/kg ± 0.0046 and 0.92 µg/kg ± 0.0044 of Enrofloxacin, respectively. The highest concentration of residues was found in Mercado Modelo. In the analysis of variance (p≤0.05), the P-value of the F-test is: 0.004, which shows that there is a significant difference between the averages of the Model Market with respect to the other markets. Concluding that the samples evaluated in general have similar averages to other regions of the country and that they do not exceed the limits established in the Sanitary Standard.
