The study assesses the environmental economic valuation of Botafogo Beach in Tambopata, Madre de Dios, using the contingent valuation method and a logit model. The objective was to identify the socioeconomic factors influencing visitors' willingness to pay (WTP) for the preservation of the natural environment. Surveys were conducted with 276 visitors, and the average WTP per visit was estimated at S/ 436, with significant variations according to income, education level, and activities. The results indicate that factors such as income and education positively influence WTP. The conclusions highlight the importance of implementing conservation policies based on visitors' voluntary economic contributions to sustainably manage natural resources and promote sustainable tourism.
