Focus and purpose
The GENTRYANA Journal is a scientific-technical journal, which serves as a means of communication between professionals dedicated to basic and applied research in Biological Sciences, is published and sponsored by the “Alwyn Gentry” herbarium (HAG) of the Universidad Nacional Amazónica de Madre de Dios, Perú. It presents two issues per year (January-June and July-December) in an online version.
GENTRYANA receives original and unpublished papers on topics of Botany, Zoology, Ecology, Taxonomy and Systematics, Ecological Restoration, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Agroecology, Ethnobiology and Conservation, among others , these can be presented in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Its mission is the dissemination of pertinent and rigorous scientific production that contributes to solving the problems of world society in the aforementioned thematic areas. The target audience is researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate thesis students from the university community of the National Amazon University of Madre de Dios, as well as national and foreign professionals interested in obtaining in-depth knowledge of the journal.
