Abstract

The present research determined the canonical correlation analysis between procrastination and academic motivation in times of Covid-19 pandemic in ecotourism students of Universidad Nacional Amazónica de Madre de Dios, 2020. The research approach was quantitative, non-experimental design and cross-sectional correlational type.  The sample consisted of 159 students who were administered the procrastination and academic motivation scale, instruments with the required validity and reliability. According to the self-values obtained, academic procrastination depends on the procrastination of activities in 58.84% and in 41.6% on academic self-regulation and academic motivation depends on intrinsic motivation in 70.71% and only in 29.29% on extrinsic motivation. The academic procrastination variable is directly associated with the academic motivation variable in 0.815 with a significance level (p-value 0.00<0.05), this implies that ecotourism students procrastinate moderately . It is concluded that procrastination and academic motivation have a moderate direct relationship.
