First record of tree Piptocarpha rotundifolia (Less.) Baker (Asteraceae) in Peru

We report for the first time for Peru the tree Piptocarpha rotundifolia (Less.) Baker (Asteraceae), this one comes from the humid savannas of the Pampas del Heath, located in the Bahuaja Sonene National Park in the southern Peruvian Amazon. An updated description of P. rotundifolia, its specimens and detailed photographs are provided.
