Development of a web system for document management in a local Peruvian educational institution

This study evaluated the impact of implementing a web-based document processing system in an educational unit to improve services, document traceability, and user satisfaction. Through a quantitative approach, management times before and after system implementation were compared, and statistical tests were conducted with a 5% significance level. The results showed a significant improvement in service times, with the average document processing time reduced from 7.50 minutes to 4.03 minutes, and traceability improved from 7.22 minutes to 3.96 minutes. Additionally, user satisfaction also increased, with the time associated with satisfaction perception decreasing from 7.71 minutes to 4.08 minutes. The hypothesis tests confirmed that the system's implementation led to a significant improvement in all evaluated indicators. In conclusion, the web-based document processing system proved to be an effective tool for optimizing administrative processes, improving traceability, and enhancing user satisfaction.
